Lift tickets, rentals, and lessons rates are now up to 25 percent off at Sugar Mountain through the end of the season during its March Madness promotion. The North Carolina resort has received a considerable amount this winter and plans to stay open at least through most of March.

A full day adult ticket that previously cost $39 now is selling for $29 Monday to Friday. TheSaturday  full day ticket dropped from $64 to $48.  Half day adult tickets were reduced from $29 to $22 Monday through Friday, and from $48 to $36 Saturday.

A full day rental package for adults went from $ 19 to $14 Monday through Friday, and from $25 to $19 Saturday. A chart with all of Sugar's March Madness price reductions is posted on the resort's Web site including prices for children's lift tickets and rentals. 

Discounts also are available on lodging packages. Some clothing items in the Sugar Mountain Sports Shop are up to 60 percent off.  

Sugar will host its fourth annual Easter Egg Hunt Sunday, March 21 on the slopes.  An egg containing a 2010-2011 season pass, along with another containing a $100 Scott gift card, will be scattered among hundreds of plastic eggs spread over the lower portion of the Lower Flying Mile slope. 

Elsewhere, Wolf Ridge is closed Monday through Friday and will operate from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday March 20 -21 and March 27 - 28. Half price lift tickets started March 13.
