Westfield, N.J., native Paul Maravetz, at age 39, is the co-founder of Vermont-based snowboard developer Rome Snowboard Design Syndicate, or Rome SDS, considered one of the hottest names in the biz - and the sixth-largest. Another Jersey native, and perhaps a more familiar name, Olympic snowboard medalist Danny Kass, also cut his teeth riding Mountain Creek. So hail them as you haul down the hill.
