The Canyons is about to get its groove on.  bands, beer, and badass fun will rock the plaza and the hills of Park City's largest resort for the 3rd Annual Spring Grüv starting March 26 and running through April 4. The festival of music, entertainment, and on-mountain events kicks off Saturday, March 27 with the annual - and ever-hilarious- Pond Skimming Contest. Dress up in costume and try to make it across our 100-foot pond. Rock out to a live concert by Big Head Todd & The Monsters later that day.  Sunday, March 28, the Canis Lupus Challenge takes place - a banked slalom race through a 1/2 mile-long natural halfpipe. Ska favorite Fishbone closes out the day.

Spring Grüv continues the next weekend Saturday, April 3, with the Red Bull 1976 Games, followed by a free concert by Robert Randolph & The Family Band in the Resort Village.  Sunday, April 4, The Canyons hosts the final Miller Lite Downhill Dish Series and a concert by The Soulistics.  The best part is that all concerts will be free and open to the public on the plaza.

Need to rest your weary head after all the fun on the hill and at the concerts?  The resort offers two new lodging packages. The Ski Free with Breakfast package features rates starting at $343 per night for 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom suites at your choice of Silverado Lodge, Sundial Lodge, Vintage on the Strand or Escala Lodges.  You will receive two lift tickets and two buffet breakfast vouchers for each night of your stay.  This package is available through April 11, 2010.

The second package is for a studio at Silverado Lodge or Sundial Lodge. It'll cost you $119/night, or $199/night at Escala Lodges.
