RIDE Shakedown shakes up the Summit at Snoqualmie March 12-13. Competitors in the two-day event lob Big Air and ride a special rail obstacle to be unveiled on the first day.

The spectator-worthy event features thrill-a-minute action of snowboarding pros and cutthroat competition from the amateurs aiming to break out of the pack. A $35,000 cash purse ups the ante for the competition.

Special two-day lift tickets are available March 12-13 for the event, but they are only available through pre-purchase deals. You can buy a two-day ticket for the event online for $60 or pick up a two-day pass for $50 at one of three official RIDE Shakedown retailers-Evo, Snowboard Connection, or US Outdoor. Single-day lift tickets are available only at regular rates at the ticket windows or online. The two-day tickets are valid from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. via all Snoqualmie Summit base areas March 12-13 only.

Amateur qualifications begin at 10 a.m. March 12. At 6:30 p.m., the rail obstacle featuring various surface textures will be unveiled for the competition followed by Saturday night's Shakedown MFG Afterparty.

Sunday's events start with the Snowboarder Magazine autograph session at noon. RIDE Shakedown semi-finals launch at 2 p.m. followed by the 6 p.m. half-time skateboard show. Finals inch the aggressive competition up another notch for the big money at 8 p.m., and a second Shakedown Afterparty closes out the weekend.

The new line of Shakedown MFG clothing hit retail stores across the U.S. this winter. Shakedown hats, underwear, T-shirts, buckles, packs, jerseys, gloves, goggles, and bandanas are also available online.
