Blue Knob's March Madness means the best deals of the season at a time when conditions couldn't be better. The Pennsylvania resort is offering 50 percent off lodging, lifts, rentals, and tubing starting March 8 and continuing through closing day (not yet announced).

The popular $69 Ski and Stay package remains in effect midweek for those who stay two days and two nights. The offer is per person and is based on double occupancy.

Passes for the 2010-11 season are on sale, as well. Adult passes cost $310 plus a $10 handling fee. Passes for juniors 12 years old and younger cost $219 plus the handling charge.

Anyone with a season pass from another resort can ski or snowboard for $5 March 15 - 21. Just show a valid pass for the special price.

Junior members of the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) can ski or ride free with the purchase of an adult lift ticket. The offer is good through the rest of the season.

Blue Knob offers one of the longest vertical drops in Pennsylvania at 1,072 feet.  It is one of the few Pennsylvania resorts with Nordic skiing and snowshoeing which are available on weekends.

Trail fees are $10. Ski and snowshoe rentals also are $10. Lessons are available upon request.
