Loon Mountain in Lincoln, N.H., is ready for the beginning of the end, with good snow and lengthening days.
The TJX Briefcase Race with Mike Lynch is for friends and supporters of The Faulkner Breast Centre, who gather at Loon Mountain March 6, the first Saturday in March, to ski, have fun, and raise funds for the fight against breast cancer. Racers come dressed in costume with a briefcase in one hand and compete in an easy, dual NASTAR race. Since its inception, the Briefcase Race has raised over $700,000 for The Breast Centre, helping to ensure they are able to provide the latest diagnosis and treatment options to our patients.
The race also helps to fund active clinical research projects, patient support programs, and continued education for our staff.
Loon also is running a Droppin' In Women's Snowboard Camp March 6-7. The camp is presented by Oakley, and is for girls and women ages 13 and older who can link turns and carve the blues, and who want to ride better. Registration is $198 and includes lift tickets, coaching with Oakley pro athletes, video analysis, and goggle bar -- special discount for season pass holders.
