Pennsylvania's Hidden Valley is gearing up for its annual Spring Carnival March 6-7. The ski lodge plaza will be transformed into a boardwalk plaza with the resort simulating a "tropical paradise" despite the fact that Hidden Valley has received 82 inches of snow in February.
Carnival details are evolving and planned activities include a luau, slalom race, skier and border cross, snow volleyball, snow rafting, and a torchlight parade. Children and adults can participate in the Closest to the Pin Contest and the Captain's Adventure Race.
Hidden Valley's Ski and Lodging weekend package at the Four Seasons is in place through March 6. Thursday night rate is $83 for a standard room and $93 for a suite. Friday and Saturday rates are $118 and $128. The package includes overnight lodging, skiing of snowboarding from 4 p.m. on arrival day to 6 p.m. on departure day, use of the heated indoor pool, fitness room and hot tub, volleyball, racquetball and basketball courts, complimentary overnight equipment check-ins, and discounts on rentals.
The package rate Sunday through Wednesday nights drops to $59 for the standard and $69 for the suite. All rates are per person and based on double occupancy. Additional third or fourth person and child rates are available.
Standard rooms have either two double or two queen size beds. Suites have a living room and fireplace. All rooms are equipped with a small refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffee maker, and hair dryer.
