High atop the slopes of Loveland Ski Area is where many find true love. That's thanks to the annual Valentine's Day celebration at Loveland. Nearly 70 couples were married or renewed their vows at the romantic setting high atop the Continental Divide.
Winter white was the wedding dress color of choice for the 19th Annual Mountaintop Matrimony ceremony. The mass wedding was held at the Ptarmigan Roost Cabin, elevation 12,050 feet, located at the top of Lift #2. The big bash was afterwards at the Honeymooner's Apres Party for all participants and their guests. It featured music, wedding cake, spirits, and even a best-dressed contest.
Loveland has been loving all of the new snow as storm after storm has brought plenty of powder. The Loveland Sports Shop is celebrating with deals and sales. Stop by the base area sports shop to see what is on sale next.
You still have time to enter the Loveland Ski Area Digital Photo Contest for this season. Photos must be taken at Loveland. Judging is based on three categories: action, people, or nature. Monthly winners are chosen through April, and full season winners will be selected in three categories with one overall grand prize winner. You can win some snazzy prizes.
