The current epic snow conditions at Pennsylvania's Ski Roundtop should propel the resort with good coverage through the rest of February and well into March.  Forty-four inches of snow fell on the area in one week thanks to the two monster storms that hit the mid-Atlantic earlier this month.

Such a healthy dose of snow is good news for organizers of the Ski4Life Marathon scheduled Saturday, March 6 to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The 12-hour event stats at 9 a.m. and ends at 9 p.m. It features an on-snow endurance competition, live bands, and a torchlight parade.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the guest services area on Marathon day. Individuals must raise a minimum of $300 and teams of four a minimum of $1,000. Each participant gets an all day lift ticket, Ski4Life T-Shirt, goodie bag, and entry into the Carbo Load brunch, lunch, and dinner. The point is to log as many runs as possible during the event.

There is an added incentive for school groups thanks to sponsors Domino's Pizza and Turkey Hill ice cream. Teams of four middle school, high school, or college students that raise at least $1,200 qualify for a free pizza party.Teams that raise $1,500 get the pizza party and an ice cream party. The pizza and ice cream parties can feed 20 people.
