Spring Ski And Stay Discounts In Saas Fee

Car-free Saas Fee has a number of special deals as the resort's winter season draws to a close and its long spring season begins.

Saas Fee's "Allalin Weeks" are available to book through to March 27. Allalin Weeks offer a package discount on accommodation with lift passes. As an added incentive guests receive a summer holiday voucher for CHF 200. Saas Fee is one of the few resorts still offering summer skiing and boarding.

Full week packages in a holiday apartment cost from CHF590 (€381) or the same offer is available for a hotel stay with prices from CHF1129 (€728).

Saas Fee has also released prices for short breaks after the Easter holiday period in April. Book a two-night stay after April 30 in a hotel with half-board, including a two-day ski ticket, priced from CHF293 (€189).

Alternatively, a seven-night holiday in a half-board hotel including a six-day lift ticket costs from CHF878 (€566) or stay on a self catering basis in a holiday apartment without meals from CHF486 (€314).

The Swiss village of Saas-Fee remains popular throughout the year, and with its 20 kilometres (almost 13 miles) of summer trails on the glacier, and a vertical of up to 800 metres (2630 feet), its a popular summer training ground for the national teams of the US, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, and others. 

The area is quickly accessed by the underground railway and a cable car (tram) - one of the fastest ski lifts in the world moving at 10 metres per second and completing the ascent in only two minutes, 30 seconds. There are up to five T-bar lifts operational in the summer serving the ski area itself.
