First Choice have knocked nearly a third/£100 off a week's stay in the leading Bulgarian resort of Pamporovo for departures March 6 or 13.
The new price of £253 (down from £349) per person is based on a stay in the three-star Hotel Prespa in Pamporovo on a half-board basis with flights from Manchester Airport. The hotel is conveniently located in the resort centre and has easy access to a good range of facilities.
Pamporovo is a modern resort surrounded by pine forests within the historic Rhodope Mountains area. The resort was partially privatised soon after the end of the Communist era in Bulgaria in the 1990s and a majority share holding in the profitable resort was sold by the government in 2000. The result today are refurbished hotels with a great range of facilities in each.
The modern resort of Pamporovo is set at 1650 metres altitude at the foot of the Snejanka (1926m). It is situated 240 kilometres from Sofia and 85 kilometres from Plovdiv.
The area is particularly well suited to beginners for its wide, gentle slopes and sunny position. You'll also find plenty of well qualified ski instructors fluent in English available to teach both beginners and intermediates.
