Tremblant, in the Laurentians of Quebec, has a school break deal for families available Feb. 22 to March 26 whereby kids cost $17 a day for a five-day stay. (Regular price is up to $50 a day.)

Resort operators say, "It's no surprise that families have been coming to Tremblant for years to celebrate school break. With the highest peak and most spectacular terrain in the Laurentians, an endless array of free activities, events and daily entertainment, plus the pedestrian village, it's a winter wonderland for everyone."

Book a two-night minimum stay at one of Tremblant's participating lodging properties and add five days of skiing or snowboarding per child 6 to 17 for $85.

Tremblant's reservation desk suggests guests book their stay through the resort's Ski & Stay Package, which will save more money on lift tickets for the rest of the party, and on lodging.

Guests enjoy evening activities, entertainment and sliding, skate rentals and access to the outdoor skating rink, First Tracks access to trails 30 minutes before the lifts open to everyone else.

Reservations must be made by Feb. 22.

Tremblant is a 1.5 hour drive north of Montreal, but also has its own airport.
