Stevens Pass decided to extend their Ski Three, Ride Free program through the end of the season. The program offered in January for Learn a Snowsport Month garnered so much popularity the resort opted to continue it.

The program's popularity came from the season pass that each participant received upon completion. The season pass is good for the remainder of this season.

The Ski Three, Ride Free program targets beginner skiers and riders ages 13 and older. It starts with a buy one, get one free $78 starter package that includes a beginner lift ticket, lesson, and rentals. The two packages can be split with a friend. The first lesson introduces skiers and riders to their gear, lifts, and slopes.

Lessons two and three come in the Easy Starter Two Pack. The pack, which costs $129 per person, includes a lesson, rentals, and a beginner lift ticket.

Those successfully completing the third lesson receive the complimentary season pass valid for the remainder of the season. An equipment check is given free for those who may have purchased gear.

The resort purchased new gear this year for their rental fleet. Beginners learn on Burton snowboards or Elan skis.
