Mondays in Zell am See-Kaprun are special for two reasons: Freeride Monday and the Show on Snow.

Certified ski and snowboard guides at the Volvo Ice Camp on the Kitzsteinhorn will welcome freeride beginners at a workshop called ‘Freeride Monday'.

Here freestyle fans will pick up new tricks and tips and learn about the appropriate behaviour in unprepared terrain and deep snow, as well as the necessary security equipment.

Mondays are also special days for the Show on Snow artists: y the show takes place every Monday from 8 p.m. until the end of February. The artists of Ski & Snowboarding Kaprun are showing their skills with their boards beneath their feet on the piste at Schaufelberg,. Spectators can marvel at lots of jumps and stunts. The evening events are completed by music from the DJ and a fireworks display.

Zell am See-Kaprun boasts 138 kilometres of downhill runs spread across 57 pistes. There is also a well prepared network of more than 200 kilometres cross country trails, winding their way through Zell am See-Kaprun and into the neighbouring regions.

The glacier in the Zell am See-Kaprun ski area has been praised as one of the best freeriding areas in the Alps due to its snow reliability and the varied off-piste terrain close to the lifts.
