Snowboarding pros will head to Innsbruck Nordkette and Westendorf for the Shred Down Austrian Masters contest Feb. 25-28.

This is Austria's second largest snowboarding contest after Air & Style. The event features Superpipe and Slopestyle disciplines split up between the two locations.

The best local snowboarding talent will compete on the halfpipe high above Innsbruck at the Nitro Pro Park. Contesters include local and international riders such as as Sani Alibabic, Simon Pircher, Wolle Nyvelt, and former champions Nando Plötzeneder, Paul Burger, and Tom ‘Noodle' Recheis. The event is organised by nasa (New Austrian Snowboard Association) and local crews (Asthetiker and Boardplay).

Freestyle fans can check out the after session parties of the Nitro Propark night sessions Feb. 12 and March 13. The Nordkettenbahnen boarding crew, namely Marco Smolla, Tobi Strauss, and Michael Zirngibl, is organising evening events to take place between 6 and 10:30 p.m complete with Nitro photographers and film crews.

After these evening events, the boarding scene flocks to Hungerburg for partying at Wolke 7. Evening admission to the Nitro Propark is €15.

The new Hungerburg cableway take skiers and boarders from the city centre to the Nitro Pro Park in 20 minutes. The Skyline Park has a length of 120 metres and height of 5.5 metres.
