Blue Mountain in Pennsylvania has lined up a full array of events with community partners during Presidents Week including customer appreciation days with several retailers, a Ski Club night and a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity.

Local snow sports specialty retailers typically arrange a lift ticket price break for customers at nearby resort as a thank you for their patronage and arrangements are made through the shops. Danzeizon and Quigley special day is Wednesday, Feb. 17. Customers pay $25 for a lift ticket, a savings of $20. The shop can provide transportation although space is limited. Eastern Mountain Sports' customer day is Friday, Feb. 19 and Buckman's is Monday, Feb. 22. A complete calendar with phone numbers for shops running customer appreciation days is available on Blue Mountain's Web site.

Ski Club night is Feb. 17. Ski club members with valid club identification get a 50 percent off price reduction on lift tickets. Each club member can bring a guest. Food and beverages will be served at 8 p.m.

Blue Mountain is teaming with Born Candy Feb. 16 - 21 to raise money for the Lehigh Valley chapter of Habitat for Humanity. The goal is to raise enough to build a house in the community for a local family. The average cost is $75,000 per house. Costs are kept to a minimum since Habitat uses volunteer labor wherever possible.

Born Candy is donating product that will be sold at the mountain during Habitat week. The company is based in Bethlehem, PA.
