Singer Donavon Frankenreiter will be bringing the love to Snowmass base village for a free Valentine's Day Concert. The show starts at 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 14. Frankenreiter is known for his soulful surfer rock sounds, including his first hit "Free," done in collaboration with long-time surfing buddy and friend Jack Johnson.
The concert is outdoors in the base village area at Snowmass. Concerts are also scheduled March 21 and March 26, although artists have not yet been announced.
Another big event is Aspen Fashion Week, March 14-19. The Bud Light Spring Jam is the last two weekends in March at both Aspen and Snowmass.
Snowmass is a perfect spot for family fun, especially with the interactive trails in the Family Zone on the mountain. Kids love The Treehouse Kids' Adventure Center with its own gondola. Kids ages six and under always ski and ride for free at the four Aspen-area resorts of Aspen, Snowmass, Buttermilk, and Aspen Highlands.
Spring is a good time to visit and the Spring Hassle-Free Package is being offered. You can ski/ride April 5-11 for less than $29 per day, when you book four or more days of ski/snowboard rentals at Four-Mountain Sports when packaged with lodging. You'll get a seven-day lift ticket for $199 ($204 with a $5 refundable Gate Card). This deal has a booking deadline of March 1.
