Les 2 Alpes, a certified family friendly resort, has a new addition for its youngest skiers this winter: babysnows, the scaled down version of the snowscoot, are crossed between a snowboard and a scooter.
The babysnow is for young skiers aged between 1 and 5 and allows parents to have fun in the snow with their children through an activity other than sledging. Children can go on a short snow shoe walk or even go skiing with their parents thanks to this device.
The child climbs on, holds tight, and is pulled by an adult who is positioned behind them. The child can then enjoy the ride, have a feeling of freedom from being in front, but still remain securely attached to their parents.
To master the babysnow, the resort organises hour-long initiation classes for €39. The French ski school leads the classes.
Babysnows can be rented for €10 for a half day or €15 for a full day from several of the resort's sports gear shops. Certain hotels also have babysnows available for guests. If your child is really enthusiastic about it, babysnow are availabel to buy for around €300.
Les 2 Alpes's ski area is suitable for all levels, with 27 green runs, 45 blue, 18 red, and 14 black. Ths resort doesn't only offer piste skiing either, it also boasts one of Europe's best snowparks.
