Sunrise Ski Park readies to run its annual women's seminar for its 18th year. The two-day program offers a way for women to receive instruction from other women in a supportive environment.

The special 2010 women's seminar scheduled Feb. 6-7, provides instruction for skiers or snowboarders, from beginners to advanced levels. The program can even accommodate first timers on skis or snowboards. On snow instruction fills five hours each day, while extra off-snow time is spent building camaraderie over lunch and stretching sessions.

The seminar costs $201 for those who need lift tickets and $129 for women who already have season passes or lift tickets through lodging partners. The fee includes instruction for two days, stretching sessions, a brunch, and a gift.

Those participants with intermediate or advanced skills can target instruction in racing, bumps, or off piste. Program participants should plan to meet at 8:15 a.m. in Sunrise Base Lodge ready to roll for the day. Intermediate and advanced participants should be able to access all three peaks, as the resort neared 100 percent open by mid-January.

Reservations are recommended for the program.
