Les Elfes winter camps in Verbier and Zermatt offer the opportunity to exercise your brain in addition to your body.

These camps teach all sorts of winter sports - skiing, snowboarding, sledging, ice skating, ice hockey, and more as well as the option to take language classes.

The camps run for seven to 14 days, and are open to students aged eight to 18. Sports lessons generally run three hours in the morning, with supervised practice sessions in the afternoon. Groups are kept small, generally five to seven students per instructor, to ensure a fun and quality learning experience.

Language classes are available in French, German, English, or Spanish. Students will learn to converse in a new language and even produce a weekly newspaper that is published on the camp's Web site. Students can choose eight hours per week, or a more intense programme of 15 hours per week. As with the sports classes, language classes are kept small.

The camp's instructors are all trained professionals with the students' safety and interests at heart.

Housing is included in the prices (dates and prices can be found on the Les Elfes Web site). Girls and boys are housed separately-in chalets in Verbier, in a four-star hotel in Zermatt. Rooms include en-suite bathrooms and two to four beds per room.
