It's never too early to start preparing for the late season at Val Thorens, so the French resort is offering a few package deals to help ski addicts ease into spring.
Coinciding with the Festi' Val Tho music festival (March 13-20, 2010), Val Thorens Tourism is offering seven nights' accommodation plus an eight-day ski pass for the Val Thorens-Orelle ski area for €249 to €906, depending on the accommodation chosen (apartment, tourism residence, chalet, or hotel). It's like getting one night free and and eight days on the slopes for the price of five.
Just in time for spring, the resort has created a package that starts March 20. Guests can stay seven days in a four-person studio starting at €232. The deal includes a six-day ski pass for Val Thorens-Orelle and is valid until April 3, 2010.
For the Sledge Cup, a friendly sledge competition for families, the resort offers the Sledge Cup Pack, including seven days' accommodation, a six-day lift pass, and participation in the Val Thorens Luge Cup April 14. This package, valid April 10-17, starts at €286.
Lastly, there's the Late Skiing Deal, which gives skiers seven days' accommodation and a six-day lift pass starting at €216.50 in a four-person studio. This deal is valid from April 17 to May 8.
