Ski-n-Stay Packages At Mt. Shasta Combine Lifts, Lodging

Mt. Shasta Resort, located near Lake Siskiyou, is offering ski and stay packages this winter. The packages combine lift tickets for Mt. Shasta Ski Park with lodging at the resort in one of its Woodland Lodge rooms.

The resort's Ski-n-Stay package matches up two nights of lodging with two days of lift tickets. The package, based on double occupancy, includes lift tickets that are also valid for night skiing Thursdays and Fridays. The package, which is available weekdays only, costs $127 per person.

The package accommodations are slated for rooms in Woodland Lodge. The lodge's private rooms are furnished with two queen beds, private bathroom with a large shower, a sitting area, color TV, convenience refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.

The package is also available at higher rates for stays in one of the resort's 50 chalets. The chalets, which are available in one-bedroom or two-bedroom models, come with full kitchens, living rooms with fireplaces, and private decks. Some of the chalets sit on the lakeshore with views overlooking the water.

The lodge offers a backcountry ski or snowshoe packages that includes a four-hour guided tour for cross-country or telemark skiers or snowshoers. Rates for the two-night package start at $188 per person based on double occupancy.

Mt. Shasta Resort, which sits 15 miles from Mt. Shasta Ski Park, also offers fine dining in its Highland House Restaurant. Ask about package restrictions when booking reservations by phone.
