Durango Mountain Resort is trying to get families to come down to southern Colorado and give their resort a try. The deal is the Cold Nights/Hot Deals package which includes lift tickets and lodging starting at $209 per family, per night. It is based on quad occupancy in a lodge room at The Lodge At Tamarron. Other configurations are available, and it is valid on new reservations only.
Deals are also available for those seeking a romantic getaway to Durango. Different options are available with Durango Mountain Resort lodging, which offers traditional hotel rooms all the way up to ski-in/ski-out luxury accommodations.
The reservation center can make all of the arrangements. Flight options are available on Frontier Airlines which serves the ski town from more than 30 cities nationwide.
A few fun events coming up at Durango are the Mountain Bike Slalom, Jan. 31. The SheRide Snowboard Camp is Feb. 5-7. The Durango Nordic Center's annual distance race, the Langlauf features 30K and 15K events for adults and 5K and 3K events for juniors. Everyone is welcome to participate, and registration is available at the Nordic Center the morning of the race.
College students can bring their student ID to Durango to purchase a $29 lift ticket. College Days are Jan. 24, Feb. 21, and March 21.
