Beaver Creek is preparing for the Beaver Creek Master Chef Classic, presented by Bon Appetit magazine, Jan. 28-30. The event features the Master Chef Challenge, which is similar to TV's popular Iron Chef competitions. There are also cooking classes, wine and spirits seminars, and the signature Grand Tasting Event Saturday night, Jan. 30. Guest chefs include Joey Campanaro, Cat Cora, Ming Tsai, Hidekazu Tojo, François Payard, and more.

Beaver Creek is also offering a new semi-private ski school class for kids, featuring the ultimate student-to-instructor ratio. No more than four kids per group. That gives more time for individualized feedback. Rates start at $247 for the lesson only, or $270 for the lesson and a lift ticket at Beaver Creek. The cost at Vail is $235 for the lesson only, or $255 when you throw in a lift ticket. Reservations are recommended. You may book online.

Big kids (adults) can take advantage of the Ski School Adventure Sessions. Spend your day with a top guide in a small group of similarly skilled skiers and riders. Your instructor will cut the lift line with you,  take you on new routes, and find hidden secrets at Vail and Beaver Creek. You'll also pick up some tips and technical information. These sessions are available to intermediate and advanced skier and riders only for $129 per person at Vail and Beaver Creek.

More Information: Or call 888-920-ARTS (2787). Tickets may also be purchased at the Vilar box office in Beaver Creek.
