Mt. LaCrosse is offering a variety of weekly specials for area snowsports enthusiasts. The specials cover just about all the bases five days each week.
Monday night is student night for both high school and college students. All you need is your school ID and lift tickets are $10 plus tax from 4-9 p.m., and you get $5 off rentals.
Tuesday is Ladies Day when all women, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., can purchase a lift ticket for $18 and get $5 off rentals. You can schedule a group lesson for $6 If you have three friends that are up for a lesson. The last Tuesday of the month features a special lesson and Ladies Lunch for $7.
Thursday night lift tickets are $13 from 4-9 p.m. for everyone.
Saturday nights are family nights. One parent pays $30 for a lift ticket, which includes one free ski rental, and the spouse and children - all same family - each pay just $5 for a lift ticket and $5 for rental equipment. The offer is good from 4-9 p.m. Group lessons - a minimum of three people - from 4-5 p.m. are $6 per person. Reservations are requested for the lessons.
Sundays are for church groups when they can schedule time slots from 1-6 p.m., 2-7 p.m., or 4-9 p.m. for their time. The package costs $21 per person, which includes lift ticket, ski rentals and a hot dog dinner. The cost is $31 for snowboard packages. Beginner lessons are also included for ages 10+ at scheduled times.
The weekend of Jan. 31-Feb. 1 is 50th Anniversary Weekend for Mt. LaCrosse when five lift tickets for a group are $50 both days. Additional lift tickets are $15 per person if you have a slightly larger group. A pig roast is Sunday with 50-cent sandwiches and 50-cent sodas.
Perched atop a rugged, rock-bound bluff the ski area offers a 516-foot vertical drop with 18 slopes and trails, terrain park, three chairlifts and a surface tow. It's big time skiing and riding for the Heartland.
