After their visit to Breckenridge, Colo., for the Totino's Open Dec 17-20, 2009, the best snowboard and freeski athletes in the world are amped to hit the slopes of Snowbasin Jan. 14-17, 2010. The Dew Tour gets rocking with superpipe and slopestyle disciplines in men's and women's categories. More than 100 world-premiere athletes fill the roster, scrapping for a $1.5 million dollar overall prize purse.
In addition to the party on the hill, you can expect the action to carry over onto the streets of Ogden with live concerts and festivities. The town and state are expecting about $6 million in national and international media exposure.
The whole weekend is free to spectators but for those who want closer access or have kids that idolize these competitors, step up and purchase an Action Zone Pass. The three-day, $100 pass gets you into the premium viewing area for all competitions, Action Zone check-in and credential, Dew Tour swag, behind the scenes tour/morning session, Dew Tour athlete meet and greet, cold Mt. Dew and hot chocolate.
The competition continues Feb. 4-7, 2010 with the Toyota Championship at Mount Snow Resort, West Dover, Vt. All three stops of the Winter Dew Tour will be televised live on NBC and simulcast around the world on Eurosport 2, Extreme Channel and Fox Sports Australia, with additional coverage on USA Network and MTV2.
