UK tour operator, Inghams, is offering a seven-night ski trip to Banff, Canada, for £478 - a saving of £179 per person.

Set in the spectacular Banff National Park, the resort of Banff offers more than 1500 acres of skiable terrain at Mt Norquay] and Sunshine Village ski areas, 15 and 45 minutes from the resort respectively.

Inghams is offering seven nights' room-only accommodation at the four-star Mount Royal Hotel for departures Jan. 23. The price is based on two sharing and includes return flights from London Gatwick and return resort transfers. Flights are also available from Manchester for an additional £49.

There are few true 'ski towns' around the world, especially those with a choice of top ski areas on their doorstep, each with independent ownership.  Austria's Innsbruck, Utah's Park City, New Zealand's Christchurch, and Argentina's Bariloche are some of the few. Not so in Banff, where the Mount Norquay is the nearest to town and offers flexible skiing by the hour if you have just a little time to spare for a few turns. If you are planning a full day of skiing or riding there is much more terrain available at Sunshine Village. Lake Louise, an hour's drive away, is also included on a tri-area lift ticket.
