Saas-Grund in the Saas-Fee valley is offering free ski lessons for children as part of its special Kids' Weeks Jan. 11-15 and 18-22.

During Kids' Weeks (Monday through Friday), children will receive free skiing equipment, ski passes, and ski lessons at Kreuzboden in Saas-Grund. The programme also includes lunch on all five days at the Kreuzboden restaurant or at the Hohsaas restaurant.

A reservation is needed for Kids' Week. It is open to children born in 2004 or later. The resort offers five days' childminding service at Hohsi-Nest, Kreuzboden, for the youngest children.

Children born in 2001 or later, accompanied by an adult, ski for free in the Saas-Fee valley. The only exception is in Saas-Balen where children under six years of age pay the normal rate for children. There are also special prices for children born 1994-2000 and for juveniles born 1992-1993. Identity cards are mandatory.

Saas-Grund is a village at the heart of the Saas Valley. It is the ideal starting place for undertaking the legendary high-altitude Saas trails. From Hohsaas (3100 metres) it offers panoramic views of 18 peaks reaching 4000 metres.

The Saas-Fee valley boasts more than 145 kilometres of groomed pistes with something for all levels. Snowboarders and freestyle skiers flock to the Freestyle Park at the Mittelallalin for its half-pipe, kickers, rails, and chill zone.
