The Children's Center at Eldora wants everyone in the family to have fun. Sometimes it means a break for the kids on the slopes. Kids can take a break from the hill and bop into the Children's Center to come out of the cold for a bit. The center offers movies and crayons for coloring. There is no charge. It isn't a day care, but it is a spot for those kids who might be "sick and sad" from their day, and need a relaxing break. Kids taking a Mountain Explorer lesson might take a break, too.
Eldora, outside of Boulder, also offers cross-country, skate skiing, and snowshoeing at its Nordic Center and extensive network of trails. It's free for Alpine Eldora Season Pass holders. You'll find 40 kilometers of trails, just a few steps from the ski lifts. These trails meander their way through serene forests, across expansive alpine meadows, and around dramatic mountain backdrops. The center also offers complete rental packages, lessons, and clinics. A trail pass is $19 for adults and $15 for adults who are just snowshoeing.
