Skiweekends.com, the leading operator in coach-inclusive ski breaks to France, can now offer departures from any UK mainland National Express pick-up point for a supplement of only £26 return.
This means, for example, that skiers from Birmingham or Manchester can enjoy three days' skiing for as little as £204 per person (twin share) with return coach travel to London, return overnight luxury coach travel to resort, and two nights' half-board at the three-star Hotel Club Verseau in Brides les Bains (Three Valleys).
Skiweekends.com's coaches depart from London Victoria, which is the final drop-off point for National Express in London, making for a quick and easy transfer.
Departures for weekend breaks are on Thursdays and Fridays (to Brides) and Saturdays (to Chamonix).
Also available in Brides are ski weeks - with six day's skiing and five nights' bed and breakfast from just £264, again with return National Express and return luxury coach travel to resort.
Skiweekends.com also offers flight-inclusive ski short breaks and holidays to France, Italy and Switzerland and has also negotiated with National Express to offer a £40 return for coach travel from any UK mainland pick-up point to any UK airport.
The old spa town of Brides les Bains was 'the Olympic Village' and thus home to the athletes participating in the 1992 Savoie Winter Olympics. It was linked by high speed gondola to Méribel on the Trois Vallées circuit as a result; there are no ski lifts at village level.
Its 'real small town' feel contrasts with the internationally better known resorts up the mountain which include arguably France's choicest resort Courchevel, Europe's highest major resort Val Thorens and arguably (again) Europe's ugliest resort - Les Menuires. It also offers better value accommodation than the altitude resorts and is quieter in the evenings, although as the main administrative and shopping centre for the Méribel Valley it is no sleepy hamlet.
