Zip, tube, fly, climb and coast your way through summer with Epic Discovery, a kids' adventure program new to Vail and Heavenly Mountain Resorts this year. The exciting program aims to offer youngsters the ultimate summer playground and learning environment in an alpine setting.

Guests are immersed into the on-mountain experience through a variety of exciting physical activities, including adventure and ropes courses, ziplines, alpine coasters, climbing towers, scenic gondola rides and more. Each component is an exciting way for families to experience the national forest and learn more about their natural surroundings during the peak of summer.

Epic Discovery will not only test your physical strength, but mental as well: learn about the surrounding environment with interactive “learn-through-play” elements; Vail's new Wildlife Explorations Trail features interactive installations that teach hikers about local flora and fauna. Vail will also offer The Nature Discovery Center, which provides a variety of interactive exhibits and free daily nature walks led by certified interpretive guides. Not to be outdone, Heavenly will offer “Interpretive Learning,” an educational component created in collaboration with the Forest Service, the League to Save Lake Tahoe and The Nature Conservancy.

Day pass options include the Ultimate Adventure Pass (unlimited all-day access) and the Little Explorer Pass (perfect for smaller kids). Epic Discovery runs June through September.
