Big Sky’s annual pond skimming event is scheduled for April 14, the day prior to the resort’s final day for the season on April 15. Big Sky's pond skimming bumps up the difficulty with their “step-down” pond creation. Two ponds are built with a four-foot drop separating the two. The double pond challenge makes for a 20-30 percent success rate, which means big splats and splashes — just what the crowd loves.
