Some people just won’t admit that the ski and snowboard season is over, and it’s time to hang ‘em up for the summer.
A few of those folks work for Ski Utah, the organization that promotes the 14 Utah mountain resorts all winter. Just as the final turns are getting carved, the last chair is about to turn on the top bullwheel, and the final brewski is quaffed on the deck, here comes a chance to keep it going and ski this summer in Chile.
The Endless Winter Sweepstakes are up on the Ski Utah Yeti Facebook page, with each visitor getting a shot at an $8,500 week’s ski vacation for two in La Parva, Chile. The package includes airfare for two to Santiago, transportation up to La Parva, and a week’s worth of ski-in ski-out accommodations, lift tickets and rental equipment. The resort boasts alpine terrain that reaches 2,700 meters (8,856 feet) in elevation in the Barnechea Mountain Range and is considered one of the three largest skiable terrains in South America.
The contest runs through April 20 and includes the chance to win skis and snowboards from Rossignol and a Telluride jacket from Eider. One winner of the gear will be chosen for the weeks ending March 30 and April 6.
