Just as you take the last run at Crested Butte Mountain Resort for this winter season, you can walk up to the ticket office and get a deal for next year.
Management at the southern Colorado resort is putting up some season-pass deals for 2012-2013. Until the season ends on Sunday, April 8, visitors to Crested Butte who plan to return next season can purchase an adult Platinum Pass for $999. Children under 13 cost $225, teens pay $275, seniors under 70 pay $699, and 70-and-older visitors put up $275. Each Platinum Pass includes access to summer lift rides, a free zipline ride and the Adventure Park, plus four Buddy Tickets at $52 each. Blackout dates of Dec. 21-Jan. 4 and March 8-14 apply.
Gold Passes also are on sale until April 8. They include two Buddy Tickets and the same blackout dates, and cost $899 for adults, $649 for under-70s, $225 for over-70s, $175 for teens, and $125 for kids.
For each adult pass purchases, a family gets one free pass for a child 12 years or younger.
New this year is the chance to finance an adult or senior Platinum or Gold pass. The program requires the pass holder to pay half of the pass price plus a $25 processing fee by April 8. The other half is due on or before August 8. There is a $100 non-refundable deposit required for all financing, if the pass holders wish to refund or change their pass prior to when the second payment is due.
