Even as the 2011-2012 season wraps up at Taos Ski Valley, it’s never too early to start thinking about the next ski and snowboard season.

That’s why season passes for the 2012-2013 are on sale at the northern New Mexico mountain resort’s ticket office. Online purchases will be available later in the year.

The Millenium Pass goes for $595 and can be used for the remainder of the 2011-2012 season, beginning March 26. The pass has a 70-day limit, but days on the mountain during the rest of this season will not count against that cap.

The pass does blackout pass-holders during the Christmas-New Years holiday period, but it includes free and reduce exchange days at other resorts. The 2012-2013 exchange program has not been announced, but in 2011-2012, the Millenium Pass got three free days at Durango Mountain Resort and Telluride Resort, and reduced skiing/riding at Monarch Mountain, Crested Butte Resort, Kirkwood and Jackson Hole.

Also on sale for $799 at the resort, full-season passes that don’t have the blackout dates nor a limit on the number of days on the mountain. Other season passes for children, teens, seniors, college students, military personnel and families go on sale Aug. 1

The season pass office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m through the spring, summer and fall.
