Springtime in Copper Mountain Resort includes days on the snow and a crazy new event, the CopperMan 3K Obstacle Course.
Chris Runyon with Copper says, “CopperMan is a fun adventure winter race that the whole family can enjoy. We’re mixing things up a bit by adding a few quirky obstacles to keep you on your toes like our Hot Chocolate Pit Cross and Human Luge feature.”
Obstacle-course craziness includes the Bamboo Forest, the Whoopdie-Woo, the Hot Chocolate Leap, the Tube Crawl, and Woodward Way. Runyon adds, “Finish like a superhero and get rewarded with a CopperMan cape.”
Heats are themed, too, like superhero and lumber jack. The finish line is in the center of the Copper Village, and it promises to be rockin’ with live music, outdoor food, and a beer garden. Swag will be everywhere with the CopperMan capes, beer mugs and T-shirts.
The event is Sunsation weekend on April 14 and 15, so head up to the mountains for the whole weekend and enjoy some crazy fun in the sun.
Early April is crazy at Copper too, with the USASA National Championships held throughout the mountain. Some of the best skiers and snowboarders will be competing in SkiCross, Slopestyle, and Halfpipe and it’s great fun to watch.
The Bamboo Forest is part of the CopperMan three-kilometre Obstacle Course event on April 14 and 15.
The Whoopdie-Woo is part of the CopperMan 3k Obstacle Course event on April 14 and 15.
The Tube Crawl is part of the CopperMan 3k Obstacle Course event on April 14 and 15.
The Woodward Way is part of the CopperMan 3k Obstacle Course event on April 14 and 15.
