Nubs Nob, one of northern Michigan's premier ski areas, is planning to stay open through April 8, and late season skiing and riding at the Nob is always a treat.

The late season discount period begins March 19. It's some of the best conditions of the year with spring fast approaching. What more could you ask for; longer days, warming temps and reduced rates through the end of the season. Daily lift tickets will be $35 for adults and teens. Children, 9-12, are $28 and kids eight and under are free.

Spring Ski & Ride promotion also begins on that date. Your lift tickets are included in your lodging rate when staying at one of the participating lodging properties in the Petoskey/Harbor Springs area.

You get a room, continental breakfast and lift ticket from $42 per person, per night, based on double occupancy. Follow the Petoskey Area CVB link for participating hotels and motels.

Saturday, March 24, Nubs throws out its version of Mardi Gras. It's always a blast with fun and games for all. There's a costume contest, Crazy Couples contest, races, and don't miss the Soaker Cup Challenge; a real crowd pleaser. Patrick and Sean Ryan will be entertaining live in the Nub’s Pub from 3 to 6 p.m.

March 25 marks the return of the Super Fun Park. The newly shaped park is ready to celebrate spring. Nub’s terrain park was recently recognized by readers of Transworld Snowboard magazine in their annual reader survey poll as one of the top three parks in the Midwest. Check it out.
