Anything goes at the Aspen Highlands Closing Day celebration. In fact, it may be one of the most-boisterous spring ski celebrations in the U.S., at one of the most-iconic ski areas in the world. The schedule of events is straightforward: skiing, boarding, drinking and dancing—not necessarily in that order.

This is definitely a spring mountain party that should be on everyone’s bucket list who loves celebrating the skiing and snowboarding culture. Funny to downright absurd costumes, bottles of wine at the summit of Highland Peak (12,392’), rambunctious pond skimming, live music—it’s mountain debauchery, Aspen style. Costumes are a prerequisite, so don’t go unless you’ve got one—the more preposterous the better—and definitely leave the kids with a sitter.
