Aspen sets the stage this spring with famous headlining acts to round out the season. It’s a big weekend with Railroad Earth on Friday, rocking downtown at the corner of Cooper Avenue and Galena Street for the Spring Jam CORE Party starting at 8 p.m. Railroad Earth transcends traditional bluegrass music with folk, Celtic, jazz and rock.
Railroad Earth is on stage in downtown Aspen on Friday, March 16.
The Wailers are on stage at the Snowmass Base Village on Sunday, March 18. The band features the reggae sounds of Bob Marley. They’ll take the stage at 3 p.m.
“All of the concerts that we host in Aspen/Snowmass are meant for all ages so bring the whole family," said Meredith McKee with Aspen/Snowmass. "Each concert is expected to be big and I expect a large and lively crowd for The Wailers show on Sunday, as they will be playing all of the classic Bob Marley & The Wailers' songs."
The Wailers take the stage on Sunday at Snowmass Village.
Some events are scheduled throughout the weekend, in conjunction with the concerts. The 13th annual KickAspen Big Air is under the lights at the base of Aspen Mountain on Saturday. A Terrain Park Boot Camp for kids and adults is in the mini-park at Snowmass.
Aspen/Snowmass offers over 30 free events throughout the season. Airborne Toxic is on stage at the base of Aspen Mountain on Friday, March 23. The 12th Annual Bud Light Spring Jam wraps up March with a bang.
McKee adds, “There are big acts playing all year long through Belly Up Aspen, in addition to all of the free outdoor Bud Light Hi-Fi Concerts that we host. So even if you miss one of the outdoor concerts, make sure to spend a night dancing away to many well known and upcoming acts there.”
