Mammoth Mountain's Ski and Snowboard School runs camps throughout the winter that cater to different skier and snowboarder needs. The three-day programs are intended to bump skill levels and confidence up to a higher plane.
The Advanced Ski Camps target skiers with at least strong intermediate skills who want to hop into full days of skiing steeps, powder, and bumps. The camps run Jan. 12-14, Feb. 9-11, and Mar. 9-11.
The Women's Camps are designed for intermediate, advanced, and expert skiers and snowboarders. The camps for women and taught by female instructors are scheduled for Feb. 2-4, Mar. 2-4, and April 9-11.
The Experienced Skiers Camps cater to intermediate, advanced, and expert skiers who are 50 years and older. These camps are offered Jan. 19-21, Feb. 23-25, and March 16-18.
All of Mammoth's camps, which run $379 per person, include three full day lessons that run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and video analysis. Camps with fewer than three participants will shorten the instructional day to three hours, and video analysis may be subject to weather conditions. Some of the camps also include post-camp parties.
Lift tickets are required in addition to the camp fee. Lodging is optional and extra, too.
