It's time to say "Sayonara!" to winter and "Welcome back!" to spring on Bromley's fourth Annual Spring Fling Weekend, March 24-25. While some mountains are dreading the early return of spring temps, Vermont's "sun" mountain is ready to welcome them with fun and games.

Two-day Spring Fling lift tickets are being sold for just just $95 ($85 for Teens, $65 for Juniors). Guests must print out a Spring Fling E-Coupon from bromley.com by midnight, March 21, at the latest.

On Saturday, March 24, come hungry because it's time for the Great Waffle Eating Contest. Two divisions, 12 and under and 13 and up, will compete to see who can eat the most waffles in three minutes and win the pot. Cost: $5 to compete. After sufficient digestion has taken place, the ever popular, nearly-always embarrassing yet potentially lucrative Pond Skimming contest will kick off on the School Slope at 1 p.m. There are categories for all ages with prizes for the Best Run and Best Costume in each, plus a special pond for 10-year-olds and younger.

From 2:30-5:30 p.m the Wild Boar Tavern will be the place to grab an ice cold brew and rock out with live music by Groove Prophet.

On Sunday, put your cardboard carpentry to the test at the Duct Tape Derby on the School Slope. The rules are simple. Only cardboard and duct tape may be used in the racers construction and all participants must wear helmets. Prizes will be awarded for the Fastest Cardboard Racer and Best Cardboard Racer Design. T-Bone Daddy, a rockin' blues trio, will be tearing up the Sun Deck from 1-4 p.m, weather permitting, so break out the sunscreen and plan on getting a goggle tan.

Registration is required for Pond Skimming and the Duct Tape Derby - sign up at the Information Booth, in the base lodge, from 9 a.m to noon on the day of the event.
