Washington State’s ski season still has weeks to go. But some ski resorts are already selling season passes for next year. The early sales provide the best rates on 2012-13 season passes.

Season passes vary in price at each resort. Most areas offer different rates for adults, students, children, and seniors, and some sell midweek passes, too.

Crystal Mountain, Washington’s largest ski resort, starts up its season pass sale for next year on April 1. Although sale rates have not yet been announced, you can plan on the sale usually lasting until Memorial Day Weekend.

Skiers and snowboarders purchasing Crystal Mountain passes for next year can ski on them through the remainder of this spring. Crystal is expecting to operate daily through April 16 and then weekends only in May.

Season pass sales for the 2012-13 winter are already underway at four other other Washington ski areas.

In southeast Washington, Bluewood is running its early 2012-13 season pass sale through April 15, 2012. You can purchase an adult pass for $280.

The early season pass sale at 49 Degrees North goes until May 5, 2012. Adults can purchase season passes for next year at $279. Season passholders at 49 Degrees North will get to enjoy a new lift next year on Angel Peak.

Mt. Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park give skiers and riders until May 31, 2012 to buy passes for next year at sale price. Adults can purchase a season pass for next year at $269. New pass purchasers can buy a 2012-13 pass for $299, which includes the remainder of this season. The ski area is also offering a referral deal granting current passholders 10 percent off for referring a new passholder by March 31.

Mission Ridge runs its season pass sale until May 31, 2012, but next year’s season passes can be used this season if purchased before closing. An adult pass costs $410.
