For college skiers and snowboarders, the Florida spring beach scene is passe. With more than 27 feet of snowfall this season, Grand Targhee Resort is courting college students with deals and partiers with events to move spring bashes to the slopes. Below the Grand Teton in Wyoming, it’s time for a little sun, snow, and fun on skis or boards.
College students can find lodging specials at Grand Targhee through March 31, 2012. The spring deal allows students with proof of enrollment at a university or college to get lodging for $76 per night and lift tickets for $45 per day. A three-night minimum stay is required to get the rate.

Targhee pumps up the spring craziness with 10 days of events and parties March 22 through April 1. The spring break mayhem starts with the grand opening of the ice bar on the first day of spring and a kick-off party. The ice bar keeps pouring the cold drinks daily until April Fools Day.
Music livens up the daily après party. Those who think they can carry a tune can grab the karaoke mic on Friday evening.
The 10-day party culminates in a weekend that celebrates the 1980s. Après will rock to the live vibes of eighty’s music while a photo booth can record you and your buddies in slope retro wear. Pull out that Lycra and neon.
