Looking for an inexpensive way to ski or snowboard at Schweitzer Mountain Resort this spring? Checkout the Idaho resort's Spring Fling Pass.

The Spring Fling Pass costs $99. The pass is valid for unlimited skiing or riding from March 12 through the end of the 2012 season. The last day of the season varies depending on conditions, but Schweitzer has events scheduled this spring through April 8.

An adult lift ticket regularly costs $67. So the Spring Fling Pass pays for itself in two days of skiing. That makes it a valuable deal for regional visitors taking a weekend ski trip or setting up a family spring break trip.

The pass can also give juniors and college students a way to save money on lift tickets. Regular prices for lift tickets run $50 for juniors and $57 for college students or seniors, so the $99 pass still pays for itself in two days of skiing or riding.

The Spring Fling Pass also comes with other benefits. The $99 can be applied toward the purchase of a 2012-13 season pass.

Passholders can also get 10 percent off purchases at select restaurants, lodges, and services with cash added to the pass similar to the way a gift card works. If cash is added to the card, the discounts are available at the Chimney Rock Grill, Lakeview Cafe, Mojo Cafe, Gourmandie, Sam's Alley, Taps, Outback Cafe, Jimmy Wang Shack, Stiles, and The Source. The discount can also be applied to lessons or lodging at Selkirk or White Pine Lodge.

The Spring Fling Pass can be purchased by phone at 208-263-9555, extension 2313. You can also buy it online here.
