Western Canadian ski resorts have jumped on the Liftopia program. Several ski resorts in British Columbia and Alberta are now offering discounted lift tickets via Liftopia, a discount lift ticket purchasing service.

Here’s how it works: You pick a resort and then choose the day you’d like to use the lift tickets. You print out a voucher to redeem at the resort’s ticket window. For some resorts, a limited number of discounted lift tickets are available per day.

The lift ticket products offered in the discount program vary by resort. With many of the Liftopia discounts, special rates are available for adults, youth, and children. Some resorts offer more than one type of discounted product.

British Columbia ski resorts participating in the program include Revelstoke Mountain Resort, Apex Mountain Resort, Big White Resort, Silver Star Mountain Resort, Panorama Mountain Village, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Red Mountain Resort, and Whitewater Ski Resort. Most of the B.C. ski resorts offer discounts on lift tickets — either single day tickets or multi-day tickets.

In Alberta, the Banff National Park resorts are offering a discount on their tri-area lift ticket. The lift ticket is valid at Mt. Norquay, Sunshine Village, and Lake Louise. Options include packaging in ski or snowboard rentals.

The lift tickets are valid for night skiing at Mt. Norquay when the ski area operates at night. The tickets also include transfers between your hotel and the ski areas.

Skiers and snowboarders purchasing packages at Liftopia for Norquay, Sunshine, and Lake Louise will need to stop by the Banff Ski Hub to redeem vouchers into lift tickets rather than heading straight to the resorts. The tickets are also only available to those residing outside Alberta or the United Kingdom.
