March ends with a bang at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The Wyoming resort is packing the final weekend of the month with events to celebrate the seventh annual Jackson Hole Mountain Festival.
The Jackson Hole Mountain Festival takes place March 30 through April 1, 2012. Several competitions offer options for skiers and snowboarders while live outdoor music amps up the festive atmosphere.

The weekend festivities start on Friday with free music under the Tram. Outdoor music continues Saturday with the headliner band going into the night.
Competitions include the Pole, Pedal, Paddle on Saturday morning. Individuals can enter, competing in four events — alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, bicycling, and boating. Teams can also divvy up the events. The race is a fundraiser for the Jackson Hole Ski Club.
The Marmot Coombs Classic takes place Sunday. Open to anyone, participants collect raffle tickets for each lap completed on one of two courses. The challenging route hikes the Pepi’s Bench Headwall and skis the Coombs Headwall while the other course goes along the Casper Traverse into Casper Bowl.
Lodging packages are available for the Jackson Hole Mountain Festival. A one-bedroom condo in the Aspens for two nights with two-day lift tickets starts at $119 per person per night. The rate is based on double occupancy and only available March 30-April 1, 2012. Call 800-443-8613 for more information or reservations.
