New for the 2011/2012 season is the Homewood Bleu Wave Ski Shuttle Cruise, which offers a unique and fun skiing and snowboarding experience.

For the cost of $99, guests receive full day of skiing and boarding at Homewood Mountain Resort, as well as a round-trip, trans-Tahoe cruise on a 72-foot, 49-passenger luxury cruise yacht called the Tahoe Bleu Wave.

The ski shuttle is offered Friday, Saturday and Monday throughout the season. Departure from South Lake is at 8 a.m, and arrival on the West Shore is 9 a.m. Departure from the West Shore is 4 p.m, and arrival is 5 p.m.

Morning departures include a continental breakfast with pastries, juice and coffee, and the afternoon return offers classic après-ski beverages and appetizers.

Passengers depart from historic Round Hill Pines Beach & Marina in Zephyr Cove, NV (near South Lake Tahoe) and enjoy the comfortable amenities and incredible scenic views of Lake Tahoe and the snowcapped mountains. The Bleu Wave also offers a fully stocked bar, fireplace, private lounge, stateroom, fly-bridge, oversized party bow, restrooms and full climate-controlled indoor facilities.

“A cruise across Lake Tahoe is a truly unique experience itself; however when paired with renowned skiing just steps from the water, the experience is simply unforgettable – and available nowhere else on earth,” said Ryan Forvilly, owner of the Tahoe Bleu Wave.

Once guests reach their ski destination on the west shore, they are welcomed ashore at the West Shore Café & Inn’s 60-foot pier just steps from Homewood’s chairlifts.

Guest service representatives assist with getting the right ski and snowboard equipment, so guests can get the most of Homewood’s “peak to shore” groomed trails, power and glades.

Guests have the option to enjoy lunch or early après-ski appetizers and cocktails at Homewood’s West Shore Café & Inn. The lakefront café offers fresh, seasonal produce, seafood and meats, as well happy hour deals for half priced appetizers and highlighted beverages between 3 p.m and 5 p.m (Friday through Sunday). They also offer half price on the entire menu and highlighted beverages starting at 3 p.m every Monday.

The yacht departs the West Shore for the journey back to South Lake at 4 p.m. Guests get to relax their feet while enjoying the sunset over the mountains and a celebratory beverage.
