LG/FIS World Snowboard Cup and Snowboard Jamboree Return to Stoneham

Stoneham Mountain Resort is a buzz of activity in preparing to host the LG/FIS World Snowboard Cup for its eighth year. This is a preparatory event to prove the resort's ability to host the World Championships in January 2013. International athletes and visitors will begin sweeping through the area for a week of amateur and professional competition, parties and fun, February 20-26.

Stoneham Mountain Resort is the only National Half-pipe Training Center in the entire province and on the East coast. This allows local athletes performing on the international circuit to train at home in Quebec.

Visitors of all ages are invited to the amateur competitions of the Snowboard Jamboree, including a ladies-only rail jam, slopestyle camp with pros, half-pipe competition. Feb 20: Snowboardcross - Qualif: 10:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m

Feb 21: Snowboardcross - Finale: 1-2:30 p.m

Feb 22: Parallel Giant Slalom - Qualif: 9-11 a.m, Finale: 1-3 p.m

Feb 23: Half-Pipe - Semifinal: 11 a.m to 12 p.m, Finale: 1-2 p.m
Jamboree party at Quatre-Foyers bar: 9 p.m to 3 a.m

Feb 24: Big Air: Qualif: 7:30-10:30 p.m
