To build confidence and skills, Wisp offers several different options for younger students of the sport catering to all levels of on-the-snow aptitude. For aspiring skiing phenoms there's the Willy Wisp program designed for three to seven year olds. Not only will this program get skiing novice's feet wet, but they'll also have the opportunity to ski with some of Wisp's SnowMonster mascots. New for this year is the Mini Riders program for six and seven year old snowboarders. Featuring learn-to-ride equipment from Burton, the two-hour lessons provide instruction for those new to strapping in. Intermediate and advanced skiers and riders can attack the mountain with their ilk in the Mountain Rippers program. Conceived for eight to 14 year olds, the syllabus includes freestyle instruction and coaching in the parks and super pipe and race gate running along with traditional free riding and skiing tutelage. For those looking to stick to the basics, Club Wisp offers full-day and half-day lessons for eight to 14 year olds looking to rip it up with their friends. And to the young skiing and snowboarding intelligentsia, Wisp presents the "Ski Free with a B" prgram. Fourth-graders with a B average or higher can bring their report cards to Guest Services and get free passes. But no doctoring jobs and no copies. They've seen all the tricks.
