In its third season, SkiDUCKS (Skiing and Snowboarding for Disabled and Under Privileged Children and older Kids) continues to share the joys of skiing and snowboarding with disabled and underprivileged children nationwide. Through partnering with resorts around the country, the grassroots nonprofit encourages kids who may not normally have the opportunity, to get engaged with winter sports and have some fun on snow.
This season, SkiDUCK is hosting over 50 events for disadvantaged youth at 14 resorts across 9 states (PA, CA, IA, NJ, NV, NY, MN, WA, WI). With the support of participating resorts, SkiDUCK’s goal is to host 1,000 youth for over 2,000 visits. Despite many areas being a bit starved for snow, the "DUCKS" have been making the most of their chances to hit the hill with participating resorts provide complimentary lift tickets, lessons and rentals.
Here's a list of some of the upcoming stops.
Mount Peter, NY - February 26
Tuxedo Ridge, NY - February 29
Camelback Resort, PA - March 5, May 31
SkiDUCK partners with Boys and Girls clubs and at-risk youth services near participating mountains. For information about donating or volunteering visit SkiDUCK.org.
